Labor Day Parade 2019 Recap

Writer's picture: Mark CraycraftMark Craycraft

Portsmouth Ohio is known to have one of the largest Labor Day Parades in the United States. Tens of thousands converged to the downtown area to participate in the parade. In 1887, Oregon became the first state of the United States to make Labor Day an official public holiday. It became a Federal Holiday in 1894.

Perfect weather conditions certainly contributed to the strong turnout.

We are so proud to have had 3 camera stations to bring you the widest LIVE coverage of the amazing parade.
